All Fuellers are invited to attend King's College London Net Zero Centre's Industry–Academia Day on Degrowth at 0930 for 1000 on Friday 15 May.
Join participants from industry and academia to explore what degrowth means in practice.
Building on this year’s Net Zero Centre’s Degrowth seminar series, the event will bring together participants from industry and academia to explore what degrowth means in practice.
Degrowth is “an invitation to embrace emancipation, to creatively explore new ways of living based on social and ecological values, and to establish decommodified economic systems embedded and maintained within deliberative and direct democracies” (Nelson & Liegey, 2025).
But what does degrowth actually mean for the industry? Is it already happening? And how can we make it happen?
Our keynote, practitioners’ pitches, and hands-on roundtables will seek to address each of these questions. Together, we will identify tangible interventions, as well as barriers and enabling conditions, and assemble a shared map of practical next steps.
This is a rare chance to connect, learn, and collaborate across sectors to strategically rethink a truly sustainable and just alternative future.
Launched in April 2023, the Net Zero Centre at King's College London has made significant strides in advancing research and fostering collaborations around solutions to decarbonising society. The Fuellers have seen the development of the Net Zero Centre and have subsequently continued to support their events.
Lunch will be provided and there will be plenty of opportunities to network.
If you would to attend then please register, which you are encouraged to do early.
