Join your Master and Wardens at The Fuellers Charity Volunteer Event on Wednesday March 20th at the Holy Sepulchre Church, Holborn Viaduct, London EC1A 2DQ. The church is in the heart of the City and easily accessible by public transport options, see https://hsl.church.
Our Chaplain Revd Nick Mottershead is the Priest in Charge. In 2019 he set up the local centre for The Hygiene Bank charity, to which our Charitable Trust Fund has donated. This is an opportunity for us to assist by donating hygiene products and helping to package them so they can be delivered to families in need.
TIMINGS
1500 arrive at the Church with donations - any shopping or tote bag(s) containing an assortment of deodorants, shower gels, shampoos, toothbrushes and toothpastes, brush/comb/nail clippers, skin cream, period products, etc. Please be as generous as possible!
1500- 1700 Nick will explain the system and we will then sort the donated products into packages suitable for delivery to families in need.
1715-1805 A special event - Choral Evensong with the Holy Sepulchre Choir and the ‘From Age to Age’ Choir from Minnesota, USA - to mark the centenary of the death of Charles Villiers Stanford. We will be singing his Evening Canticles alongside ‘Abendlied ‘ by Josef Rheinberger and William Byrd’s’ Sing Joyfully’.
1805-1830 Drinks with the choirs and congregation.
Volunteers are expected to bring a donation of hygiene products and will also be invited to contribute to the collection at Evensong. If you are available please join us afterwards for supper at a local pub/restaurant.
