'To the Master and Wardens of the Worshipful Company of Fuellers,These are to require you to cause all the livery of your Company to be summoned to meet at Guildhall on 29 September, next, by 11.45am for the election of the Lord Mayor. Hereof you are not to fail.'
This is one of the great ceremonies of the livery year when Guildhall will be full to capacity to see the next Lord Mayor formally elected. All liverymen are encouraged to attend.
ATTENDANCE
Please email the Clerk to get a (free) ticket to gain easy access.
You are still able to attend without a ticket but will need to bring proof of identity and wait whilst the electoral roll is checked.
PLEASE NOTE: Only liverymen are entitled to attend - and for historical reasons you must also have been a liveryman since before May 2022.
Freemen, spouses and other guests of Liverymen are not entitled to attend Common Hall as there is not enough space, but are very welcome to attend the lunch afterwards.
TIMINGS
1100 - Absolute latest recommended time for Liverymen to arrive at Guildhall in order to get a seat
1130 - All to be seated
1135 - Procession of Masters, Prime Wardens and Upper Bailiff into Guildhall
1145 - Common Hall starts

DRESS CODE
There is no specified dress code although most will wear day dress (suits), some may wear morning coats, and some ladies wear hats.
LUNCH
Lunch will be available afterwards at Guildhall Club for all members and their guests at a cost of approximately £75 per person.
