A Fuellers Industry Visit to Hinkley Point C
Monday 8 July 2024
FULLY BOOKED
An Industry Visit to Hinkley Point C ('HPC'), which is being constructed by EDF Energy and will be Britain's largest nuclear power station, will take place on Monday 8 July 2024. Visits are rarely allowed as they can be disruptive to the construction schedule, so this is one not to be missed. The visit will include a presentation with Q&As as well as a tour of the site. If you would like to request a place (subject to availability) then please email Paul Mott, who is organising the visit, by close of play on Tuesday 7th May. Confirmation of places will be given by Sunday 12th May, at which point Paul will need your date of birth and current employer (if applicable) for EDF’s advance security form.
We have thirty places and priority for these places will be given to Fuellers. If you have a partner who is interested in attending then please let Paul know. Places for partners will be allocated after the booking deadline (if available). Please note that all attendees must be over 18 years old.
As you would expect, there is tight security at the site and other rules that we are required to abide by during and after our visit: please read the SECURITY paragraph below carefully.

SECURITY
This is a licensed nuclear site and you will therefore be required to show your current passport or UK driving licence in order to gain access.
Bags and personal belongings must be kept to a minimum. Bag searches should be expected - no blades or scissors are allowed and will be removed (you won't get them back).
No advance car registration is needed for HPC Cannington Park & Ride.
All visitors are required to produce Photo ID, which must be either a current UK Passport or a current UK Driving Licence. If you cannot produce either of these then access to HPC Site will be denied to you.
PHOTOGRAPHY
We will be permitted to take photos at the viewing gallery only. No images may be uploaded to any social media platform whatsoever.
FOOTWEAR
Stout footwear is advised - there is alot of walking and going up / down iron-tread stairs
No heels or open-toed/open-topped shoes should be worn.
ACCOMMODATION
Paul is investigating whether we can book rooms at Cannington Court, EDF’s conference centre, for those needing to travel up on Sunday evening due to the early start. The cost of this is not yet known as he needs to have an idea of numbers before he makes that enquiry, so if you are interested (subject to cost), please let him know. If not, he will suggest other options. You are of course free to make any arrangement, but don’t act until you know you have a place.
