The Fuellers annual Carol Service with the Worshipful Company of Fan Makers took place on Monday 1st December at The Church of St Vedast-alias-Foster in Foster Lane.
The Paris of St. Vedast is known from the 12th century, and the church is traditionally claimed to have been established by 1170. It has been altered, enlarged and restored many times and probably rebuilt at least twice, the last time by Christopher Wren, after the Great Fire of London in 1666. Having been completely burnt out during the Blitz of World War II, the church was restored under the direction of its Rector, Canon Mortlock.
The service was led by our chaplain Revd Nick Mottershead with readings from the Masters and Wardens of both Companies and overseen by the beadle James Hasler. The choir serenaded us with their beautiful voices creating a truly festive feeling for us all.
After the service the Fuellers made their way to the Lamb and Trotter for a hearty Christmas supper.
