On 3rd September, Master Ashutosh Shastri accompanied by Defence Liaison Dave Marsh, Flt Lt Tom Carmicheal and WO2 Ben Hill. (Unfortunately Major Carl couldn’t join us), signed a brand new Memorandum of Understanding with the Logistics Specialist Training Wing (LSTW), a part of the Defence School of Logistics and Administration (DSLA) at MOD Worthy Down, near Winchester..

The MoU was co-signed by Master Ashutosh and Wing Commander Matt Beauchamp RAF, Commanding Officer Logistics Specialist Training Wing and Head of RAF Training.
Dave Marsh the Worshipful Company of Fuellers Defence Liaison was initially introduced to Major Carl Genari at the Defence Petroleum and Specialist Training Squadron, (DPSTS) by his counterpart in the Worshipful Company of Carmen. The DPSTS and Dave were keen to develop and enjoy a relationship and this has blossomed into the new MoU which is the second Signed by our Master this year with a fuels related military organisation. Considerable thanks goes to Dave Marsh who has been instrumental in setting up both MOUs.
The Logistics Specialist Training Wing, the parent unit for the DPSTS provides initial and career-stage military training for both British Army and Royal Air Force personnel.
The wing specialises in several critical operational areas, including:
- Movements & Fuels
- Dangerous Goods & Equipment Repair
- Postal and Courier Services
- Port & Maritime Operations
- Marine Engineering
- Health & Safety and Tailoring
After the signing ceremony, the Master and Defence liaison enjoyed lunch and Coffee at the MOD Worthy Down Officers mess.

We are very proud of our new relationship with the DPSTS and LSTW, and it is a real honour to have signed a formal Memorandum of Understanding with them. This has already lead to a visit for the Master and Senior Warden to a training event, and the Defence Liaison has made the first of what could become a regular presentation on the Fuellers and the City to the Officers Defence Operational Energy Course.
Fuellers acknowledge that
