The inaugural meeting of the Industry Group Forum was held on Tuesday 17 June at Carmen Hall.and was a joint event with the Guild of Investment Managers.
The Industry Group Forum is a new initiative to enable networking opportunities for Fuellers especially those still engaged in the Energy Industry.


The presentation was entitled "Climate and Transition Finance: an overview of the current landscape of Climate and Transition Finance within the Energy Sector" and was presented by Maria Lombardo CEO. – formerly Global Head of ESG Advisory at Standard Chartered Bank and now Founder and CEO of RO-SE, an independent advisory network of sustainability and transition experts.
Maria highlighted both the challenges and opportunities, drawing on her extensive experience as an investment banker and sustainability specialistwas supported by RO-SE Global's Core Partners and Advisors during the presentation and Q&A session:

Maria Lombardo is the Founder and CEO of RO-SE Global, a London-based sustainability advisory firm supporting corporates and financial institutions—particularly in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa—on sustainable finance, ESG strategy, and climate transition. With over 25 years of leadership in emerging market equity capital markets in investment banking, and about 10 years in sustainable finance and advisory, Maria is widely recognised for bridging the worlds of finance and sustainability with practical, action-oriented solutions. She created the sustainable finance advisory at Standard Chartered Bank, and previously held senior roles as sustainability expert at Invesco and CDP. As an investment banker, she led teams for equity markets strategic engagements with sovereign wealth funds and global investor at Lazard, BII, UBS, Sberbank and Unicredit. A frequent speaker and advisor on Sustainability strategy, Net Zero planning, regulatory and disclosure frameworks, Maria also contributes to industry bodies including the CFA Climate Program and Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership. Maria holds a Sustainability Diploma at Cambridge University Sustainability Leadership Institute, CFA Sustainability and CFA Impact accreditations along with a CEMS Master’s in international management at Louvain School of Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Intermediaries at Bocconi University.
