United Guild Service, St. Pauls Cathedral

St Paul's Cathedral, Lunch afterwards at Pewterers Hall

Friday 20 March 2026

The sun shone brightly for the 82nd United Guild Service held at St Paul’s Cathedral on Friday 20th March. The service dates back to 1943, when it was established as a coordinated response to the challenges faced by the City of London following the The Blitz, as well as a reminder of the religious origins of the Guilds.

The service was led by The Dean, the Reverend Andrew Tremlett, and attended by the Lady Mayor, Sheriffs, Chief Commoner, and the Court of Aldermen, alongside representatives from the Livery Companies and Guilds—all resplendent in their ceremonial robes.

The Master, Senior Warden, Clerk, and fellow Fuellers were also in attendance, and the steps of St Paul’s have rarely looked more colourful. The Fuellers even attracted the attention of a group of tourists, who were keen to capture the moment for their holiday albums.

Following the service, Fuellers gathered for lunch at Pewterers’ Hall. Guests were warmly welcomed by Master Pewterer Charles Robinson, with a response on behalf of the guests from Master Broderer James Neill.
