Fuellers were invited to attend King's College London Net Zero Centre's Industry–Academia Day on Degrowth on Friday 15 May.

Participants from industry and academia explored what degrowth means in practice. The event brought together participants from industry and academia to explore what degrowth means in practice.
But what does degrowth actually mean for the industry? Is it already happening? And how can we make it happen?
The keynote, practitioners’ pitches, and hands-on roundtables sought to address each of these questions.
Outcomes of the discussions were that the planet cannot support 1-2% growth into the medium future, (say >2050), GDP is a poor measure of progress and society will have to direct investment into alternatives like restoration and recycling. Kings College is at the forefront of formulating and researching degrowth strategies, and one that Fuellers, with its links to the College, can follow with interest.
Launched in April 2023, the Net Zero Centre at King's College London has made significant strides in advancing research and fostering collaborations around solutions to decarbonising society. The Fuellers have watched the development of the Net Zero Centre and have subsequently continued to support their events.
